Mr. Tony Rochelle Brooks

Tony Rochelle Brooks was born on November 8, 1958 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Posie Lee Brooks Benning.  On Friday, June 8, 2018, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly journey to his heavenly home.

Tony was educated in the public school system of Arlington, Virginia and was a graduate of Wakefield High School.

Tony was employed with several different companies over his lifespan. He began his employment at Home Depot as a Warehouse Supervisor and then transitioned to a supervisory role at Waccamaw Pottery, where he served for 10 years. In 2001, Tony enhanced his experiences by becoming a certified meat cutter for Winn Dixie Supermarket.

Tony enjoyed watching sports. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan as well as a faithful New York Knicks fan. He thoroughly enjoyed watching the news, reading, completing word search puzzles, and listening to music.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Posie Lee Brooks Benning and his loving stepfather, George Benning.

Tony leaves to cherish his precious memory are his four children, Dominique Brooks, Aaron (Alethea) Brooks, Elijah Brooks and Joy Brooks; one granddaughter,
Avery Brooks; one aunt, Leila Johnson; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
