Mr. Robert Lee Tucker

Robert Lee Tucker was born on September 2, 1926, to the late David and Nancy Anderson Tucker.  On Friday, July 6, 2018, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly journey to his heavenly home.

Robert was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He was the owner and operator of Carolina Window Cleaning Company for over 60 years.

Robert was united in marriage to Arnetha Norris on July 28, 1948. Their union was blessed with more than 69 years of love, happiness and the birth of ten children.

Robert was a baseball enthusiast and he loved the LA Dodgers and the NY Yankee’s baseball teams.  He played baseball for the Columbia Whips and Columbia Clippers in the Negro Baseball League.

Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Tucker and Louse Williams; three children, Robert Lee Tucker Jr., Mary Tucker and Sherrie Montgomery.

Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories are his devoted wife Arnetha Norris Tucker; seven children, Larry (Alice Reaves) Tucker, Stanley (Patricia) Tucker, Clarenza Tucker, Brian Tucker, Stina (Frederick) Johnson, Alice Tucker and Solomon Tucker; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Benham and Marilyn West; a brother-in-law, Titus M. Gary, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
