Mr. Reginald Walters

Reginald Walters was born November 22, 1958 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Peter Junious and Willie Blanding Walters where he was one of their eleven children.

Reginald received Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Pleasant A.M.E Zion Church. He graduated from Lumberton High School and joined the United States Army in 1977.

Reginald honorably served his country in Operation Desert Storm/ Shield. After twenty years of service he retired to Newport News, Virginia where he met his wife Carla Walters in 1997. Upon retiring, Reginald began a career as a Correctional Officer that eventually led to him working as a contractor in Iraq. 

After his time in Iraq, Reginald and Carla moved to Columbia, South Carolina. Reginald was a beloved and devoted employee of Columbia Regional Care Center and an active member of the Brook Church under the leadership of Pastor Simeon and Kelly "Lady Nikki" Moultrie.
  
Reginald Walters departed from this life on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the age of 59. He is preceded in death by his parents: Peter Junious and Willie Blanding Walters and his brothers: Emmanuel, Jessie, Leroy and John.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 10 years, Carla; daughters, Regina, Amber, Katrece, and Jaylynn; son, Brandon (Kristen); grandchildren, Junious, Darius, Benjerman, and Simonne; siblings, Joanne, Jeanette (David), Angela, Nathaniel (Cheryl), David, and Jerry; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
