Mr. Ra-Sheed Taylor, Sr.

April 19, 1971 ~ June 17, 2018 (age 47) 47 Years Old

Ra-Sheed Abdul Taylor Abel was born April 19, 1971 to the late Roderick “Ricky” Abel and the beautiful Ms. Brenda Taylor, at Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ra-Sheed spent his first 15 years in Philadelphia, where he attended Martin Luther King High School. In 1986, The Taylor Family relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, where he attended Columbia High School. Ra-Sheed had several nicknames, and was affectionately known as “Dugga Man”, “Sheed”, and “Shady”. Sheed was a loving and fun young man, who was full of life and zeal.

Sheed explored his hand at different occupations. His favorites were Gourmet Chef, Certified Painter and Construction Worker. Sheed loved swimming, shooting pool, playing cards, fishing, and having a good time with family and friends. He also loved football, and his favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. To Sheed, family was everything and he was loyal and dedicated to a fault.

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, Sheed submitted to the mighty will of God and became a soldier in God’s heavenly army.

Sheed leaves to cherish his precious memory his two sons, Rasheed Taylor, II and Raheem Taylor; his mother, Ms. Brenda Taylor; his brother, Roderick W.
