Mr. Moses P Pyatt, III

Moses P. Pyatt, III was born on January 22, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Reverend Moses P. Pyatt, Jr. and Mary Keller Pyatt. He departed this early journey on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Moses was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate from Orangeburg Wilkinson High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from South Carolina State University.

Moses served as deacon at Life Cathedral Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina and was later a devoted member of Rhema Word Restoration Ministries in Columbia, South Carolina. He served there faithfully until his death.

Moses was employed by Edisto School District Four and retired after twenty-two years of dedicated service.

Moses was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Moses and Mary Pyatt, Jr.; and a brother, Matthew P. Pyatt.

Moses leaves to cherish is precious memory is his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn B. Pyatt; two daughters, Latonya Simpson and A. Teresa Birchmore, both of Columbia, SC; one granddaughter, Quashekia Birchmore; one grandson, Justice Glenn; two sisters, Adaline Pyatt and Mosette Rivera, both of Summerville, SC; one niece, Andrea Pyatt; one nephew, Antonio Rivera; one brother-in-law, Nelson (Lois) Birchmore of New York, NY; two aunts, Louise Turner and Hattie McGriff both of New York, NY; two great-nephews, Alexander Howard and Nicholas Howard; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
