Mr. Leroy Goodwin

Mr. Leroy Goodwin was born on November 19, 1949 to the late Jessie and Nancy Goodwin. He departed this life on December 15, 2018 at his home.

Leroy was baptized and served as a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Eastover, South Carolina where he later became a deacon.

Leroy was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District 1. After graduating from high school, he went on to serve in the United States Army for three years.

Leroy was a master craftsman who had an amazing talent for all types of construction with a particular skill in wood crafts. He had a passion for creating, designing and building everything from antique cars to highly customized and detailed furniture.

Leroy had a deep and abiding love for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his sisters, Ella Mae Goodwin, Bertha Goodwin, Ruth Goodwin, and Geraldine Myers; and his brothers, Jessie Goodwin and Albert Goodwin.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Chrishann Goodwin; one son, Juliean Shiver; two brothers, Buddy (Belinda) Goodwin and Franklin Goodwin; three aunts; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
