Mr. Joshua Demetrius Glover

Joshua Demetrius Glover was born on April 26, 1987, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Marilyn R. Simmons and Cedric Glover. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Joshua graduated from Ridge View High School in 2005. He was employed at TAPPS.

Joshua was an inspiration to everyone he encountered. He was a beacon of light to show the good in every situation. From his infectious smile to his encouraging words of wisdom, he was the love of all our lives and will truly be missed.

Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Simmons.

Joshua leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother, Marilyn R. Simmons; father, Cedric Glover; four sisters, Charlette (Ernest) Legette, Latoya Asmond, Cierra Asmond, and Rachel Simmons of Columbia, SC; maternal grandmother, Elwillie Simmons; paternal grandmother, Thelma Sligh both of Columbia, SC; uncles, Joseph (Lusonda) Simmons of Atlanta, GA, Winthrop Simmons, Tyrone Davis, and Gary (Tawonda) Glover, of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Natasha (Carl) Dais of Columbia, SC; godparents, Betty (Frank) Asmond, and Swazette McDaniels;  honorary godparents, Franklin (Janice) Goodwin, and Derek (Lisa) Johnson; special friend, Ernest Mack; and a host of loving great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.
