Mr. Harold Gray, Sr.

Harold David Gray, Sr. was born on January 5, 1948 in Columbia, SC to the late Zeno and Leola Gray. He departed this earthly journey on July 31, 2018.

Harold was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He attended Midlands Technical College. He was a member of the United States Army and the United States National Guard. Harold was also a proud United States Army Veteran.

At an early age Harold was baptized. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cayce, SC where he once served on the deacon board. He also sung on the men’s choir and was involved with various other church organizations.

Harold dedicated his life to his family, loved ones, and community. Harold never met a stranger and became friends with everyone who crossed his path.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Zeno and Leola Gray; two brothers, Walter Gray and McKinley Gray; and his father-in-law, Ben Jackson, Jr.

Harold leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, Acquanetta Gray; son, Harold (Kimberly) D. Gray, Jr. of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Secunda (Derek) Nicole Jackson of Columbus, GA; one brother James (Joan) Madison Gray of Columbia, SC; three sisters Dorothy White, Iris Corley, and Yvonne Gray all of Columbia, SC; two grandsons, Amari and Jakori Gray of Clarksville, TN; his mother-in-law, Frances Jackson of Cayce, SC; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
