Mr. Ellis "Jack" Lyles

Ellis “Jack” Lyles was born on August 26, 1933 in Kershaw County, South Carolina to the late Alex and Joretta Lyles. On Sunday, June 24, 2018, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly journey to his heavenly home surrounded by family.

Ellis was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County.

Ellis was employed by Richtex Brick for more than 33 years. He then retired in January 1993.

Ellis dedicated his life to his family and loved ones. He enjoyed sports especially attending the local baseball games.

In addition to his parents, Ellis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Lyles; three brothers, James Lyles, Charles Lyles and Elloy Lyles.

Ellis leaves to cherish his fond memories one son, Charles (Alberta) Lyles; two daughters, Brenda Lyles and Linda (Stephen) Maple; one sister, Bernice Lyles; one brother, Frank Lyles; four grandchildren, DeVonte Lyles, Shanta Ashford, Daryus Lyles, and Alessia Lyles; one great grandchild, Yana Nicole Eason; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
