Earl Williams, Jr. was born on April 8, 1929 in Donalds, South Carolina. On Friday evening, December 14, 2018, embraced by his loving family and pet Coco at home, Earl peacefully transitioned from this earthly journey to enter into eternal life with God.
Earl’s education began in the public schools of Abbeville County. After the family moved to Columbia, South Carolina he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Earl served in the United States Air Force and received numerous awards during his tour of duty. Earl was employed and retired as a driver for Anderson Armor Services.
Earl was an active member of Francis Burns United Methodist Church where he was member of the Beautification Committee, Helping Hands with the United Methodist Women and was very instrumental in other capacities.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Williams, Sr. and Dora Lovelace Williams; two sons, Thomas Earl Williams and John Brisby, III; and three brothers, Jesse Williams, Burt Williams, and Robert Earl Brown.
Loving and cherished memories of Earl will forever remain with is devoted wife of 46 years, Dorothy Carraway Williams; son, Antonio Williams; three daughters, Sheila (Thomas) Kelsie, Antonnia M. “Tonni” Brisby, and Doris Geiger; two sisters, Sarah Williams and Betty Smith; twelve grandchildren, Chelsea Shell, Bridgett (Colvaito) McKie, John (Sharmarla) Brisby IV, Shanna Brisby, Ira Sumrall, Myra (Raymond) Reyes, Cheyenne Thompson, Christen McKie, Ernest Thompson, John Thompson, Isiah Williams, and Marcus Sumrall; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
