Mr. Douglas Watts

Douglas Cleophus Watts was born on December 16, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Monroe and Viola Watts. On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly journey to his heavenly home.

Douglas was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Bethel High School Class of 1970. Douglas furthered his education at Columbia Junior College, Benedict College and at the University of South Carolina. Douglas enlisted in the United States Army where he honorably served the country. He later was employed by Richland County School District Two for many years.

Douglas dedicated his life to his loved ones and the community. Douglas was an avid basketball and baseball fan. During his spare time, he enjoyed playing and coaching both sports. He also was actively involved with various youth and church organizations.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his two sisters, Shirley and Donna Watts; and two brothers, Carl Watts and Donald Watts.

Douglas leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Patricia S. Watts; one daughter, Cletrius S. Scott; one son, LeeAngelo Scott; two grandchildren, King H. Corley and LeAysia Scott; two sisters, Patricia E. Watts and Sharon D. Watts; three brothers, Tommy Watts, Allen (Lenora) Watts, and Darrly Watts; and a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
