Mr. Benjamin Walker

Benjamin F. Walker, affectionately known as “Danky”, was born on April 19, 1967 in Orangeburg, SC to Jessie Carter and Willie Gilmore. He departed this earthly journey on January 17, 2020.

Danky was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg, SC and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Danky dedicated his life to his family, loved ones and community. To know him was to love him.

Danky was preceded in death by his brother, John (Wanda) Walker.

Danky leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jessie Carter and Willie “Skip” Gilmore, both of Columbia, SC; four children, La’Joshalynn Edmond, Akheem Sackel, Benjamin “Austin” Walker, and Denise Middleton, all of Columbia, SC; one sister, Eula Walker; three brothers, Teddy (Mae) Walker, Philip Doctor and Eric Grier, all of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
