Bishop Henry Dillard

Bishop Henry Dillard was born on January 15, 1929, in Andalusia, Alabama.  He was the ninth of twenty-two children born to Reverend Willie and Mary Dillard.  As a young boy, Henry learned the teachings of Christ. The principles that were established during his formative years led him to make a commitment and dedicate his life to winning souls for Christ. He later reaffirmed his commitment by being baptized in the Jordan River. He made his final ascension to be with his Lord and Savior on June 25, 2018.  

As Bishop Dillard made his final ascension, he was reunited with his loving parents: Reverend Willie and Mary Dillard; 19 siblings; and one grandson, Dr. Chandre Butler.

Bishop’s memory will forever be cherished by: his devoted wife, Mrs. Rudene Greene Dillard; children, Minister Donald Ray (Linda) Dillard of Rock Hill, SC, Chaplain Jerome (Jeannie) Dillard of Rochester, NY, Elder Christanel (State Elder Cleve) Butler of Ocala, FL,  Mrs. Linda (Glen) Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL, Minister Terry (Denise) Dillard of Phoenix, AR, Ms. Gwendolyn Dillard of Rochester, NY, and Ms. Joya Gregg of Blythewood, SC; siblings, Deaconess Gladys Burke of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Bertha (James) Israel of Rochester, NY, Mr. Chicko (Emma Jean) Dillard of Rochester, NY; sisters-in-law, Elder Georgia Dillard of Rochester, NY; Deaconess Eloise Dillard of Rochester, NY; brothers-in-law, Deacon Lloyd (Angela) Greene of Englewood, NJ, Deacon Charles (Myrtle) Greene of Charleston, SC; Godchildren, Dr. Geraldine Gaffney of Plainfield, New Jersey and Mr. Lawrence Coffee of Blythewood, SC; spiritual sons, Elder Kevin Pope, General Elder Troy Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and a host of family, friends, co-labors in the gospel and beloved members.
